Security ID Unit Administrator

Cardiff Airport is the national airport for Wales and an important part of the national transport infrastructure and key gateway to the UK for international visitors. The airport is a major contributor to the Welsh economy, supporting 2,400 aviation-related jobs and typically driving over £246m of direct economic benefit to Wales annually.

There are 10 airlines currently making regular use of the airport’s facilities, which include KLM, TUI, Aer Lingus (Emerald), Ryanair, Vueling, Eastern and Loganair.

About the role

Responsible for carrying out the appropriate defined security processes and procedures in accordance with company policies and values.

• All aspects of access control including the ID pass production process within the Cardiff Airport and St Athan Security System.
• Provision of administration support to the Cardiff Airport Security Department
• Liaise with Cardiff Airport and St Athan Security stakeholders (e.g. DfT, Police, Immigration, Customs).

About you

You are required to have good interpersonal skills, be literate, have high levels of integrity and honesty. Competence in running basic spreadsheets, writing word documents, email and other IT systems as required. You are required to have great customer service and communication skills within this highly customer focused environment.

Training will be provided

Successful applicants will be subject to completion of employment screening to Cardiff Airport’s requirements before being confirmed in post. This includes a basic DBS check and Security Vetting to comply with Department for Transport Regulations.
