About the role

Cambridgeshire SEND Service (0-25)

Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time Educational Psychologist Soulbury Scale A3 – A8 (Previously awarded SPA points will be honoured).

Are you looking to work in a well-regarded, high performing and supportive team of Educational Psychologists?

We are looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dynamic Educational Psychologists (EPs) to join our SEND Service in Cambridgeshire. You will be part of one of our teams based across the county (currently in Wisbech, Huntingdon, Ely and Cambridge) and will work alongside Specialist Teachers and Specialist SEND Practitioners in a multi-disciplinary team.


What will you be doing?

As a qualified Educational Psychologist you will be applying a range of psychological theories and tools to your work with schools and other settings, adopting a Think Family approach and working closely with colleagues from other teams and disciplines to provide a holistic and co-ordinated response to need.

Our work reflects our strong beliefs and commitment to evidence based practice, social justice, inclusion, the active involvement of children and their families and working closely with schools and other partners. You will be working with schools and settings in one area of the County and contributing to key Service developments, strategy and project work. You will be working for a service with a proven track record for developing innovative practice.

  • We are committed to providing excellent evidence based resources to schools, settings and the wider community. We are seen as a centre of excellence in our field, for example the , ‘British Dyslexia Association’ recently commended our work in our Dyslexia/Literacy difficulties Guidance Dyslexia/Literacy Difficulties

Cambridgeshire County Council is committed to providing excellent opportunities for continuous professional development. EPs receive regular individual and peer supervision comprised of 10 days (pro-ratad for part-time workers) of individual, face to face and virtual learning .

About you

Successful candidates will need to have a first degree in Psychology, recognised by the BPS, a post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the HCPC.
