Freedom of Information Officer

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a challenging and exciting role, as a Freedom of Information Officer within the Information Governance Team.

Working as part of the Information Governance Team the post holder will act as the principal source of knowledge on the requirements of the Act and will ensure that the statutory requirements of the Freedom of Information Act are fulfilled.

You will also provide support as required to other team members within the Information Governance Team to ensure that the Trust complies with its Data Protection, and Access to Records legal duties.

You will need to be hard working, creative and show flexibility when required to effectively manage the workload within the Information Governance Team. You will need to be able to prioritise your tasks, often in the face of competing demands and have an understanding of how the Freedom of Information Act 2000 are applied to these requests under the Act. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 .

To succeed in this role; you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with staff across the Trust, patients and members of the public.

Your primary base can either be at one of our sites in Peterborough, Huntingdon or Fulbourn dependant on your home location.
