Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the development team in the delivery of all technical development work relating to BVIs systems and data landscape
  • Acts as a technical lead for all technical development work relating to BVIs systems and data landscape
  • Ensure that all technical development work is documented and maintained in line with best practices of SDLC
  • Mentors both team members and stakeholders in best practices and modern technologies


Purpose

Be responsible for maintaining, developing, and delivering all aspects of BVIs non ERP systems and data landscape. To lead an in-house team and if required, 3rd party technical partners, to deliver technical change across multiple technical projects of varying sizes concurrently, tracking and reporting on project status, monitoring and reporting on project risk and delivering change in accordance with agreed business cases, timescales and budgets ensuring any slippage is communicated and effectively managed.


Qualification

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstratable experience of leading a number of concurrent development projects and programs in a fast-moving complex environment
  • Demonstratable experiences and knowledge in the architecting and implementation of solutions utilizing Microsoft Technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform - Automate/Apps)
  • Demonstratable experience of leading the full software delivery and project lifecycle in a compliance related industry
  • Demonstrable experience of leading support teams in the operations support of application in a global 24/7 operational business
  • Experience working with and manipulating XML/JSON, and flat file documents using Javascript and/or Java
  • Experience working with technologies like SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, WSDL, XSD, JSON, APIs.
  • Experience working with .NET programming languages such as VB.NET and C#, and SQL Server development using T-SQL


MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 7+Years as a technical lead or managing developers
  • 5+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
