Position Overview & Specifications
We are recruiting for a Trainee Lecturer in Media/Film Studies to teach effectively across the Division’s Curriculum and to promote and provide an excellent learning experience for all students.
As an ambitious Trainee Lecturer, you will work closely with all the Curriculum Managers and the Programme leader/s responsible for the relevant course provision to maintain and develop the curriculum and maintain the excellent results within the Division. You will also liaise with other Cross-College areas to enhance the student experience.
As a Trainee Lecturer A your contact teaching hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience.
You will possess a degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject and have the knowledge of current issues in Further Education relating to the curriculum area. Ideally you also possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. However, should you not have this, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.
The salary for this post is up to £25,180.
