Why this job matters

As an Engineer Resource Controller you will ensure that the field engineer team is optimally matched to meet provision, fault and project demand requirements. You will provide real time support to not only field teams, but also other customer facing units and project teams, making sure they reach their service targets. Your main responsibility will be to optimise work allocation and distribution up to 5 days out, utilising our allocations system.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitor field allocation system to ensure effective deployment of field resource, and work closely and collaboratively with engineers as appropriate, ensuring best customer fit.
  • Use the right tools and systems to identify risks and issues with resource allocation profiles, flagging to the correct control / area manager.
  • Manage customer escalations on the day by utilising all resourcing solutions, including 3rd party resource.
  • Continually improve controls' processes, effectively managing task enablement to meet required deadlines.
  • Manually build tasks to meet required appointment dates where automation is not in place e.g. cloud voice.

The skills and experience you'll need

  • Problem solving, be logical and methodical.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Great written and verbal communication.
  • Multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Product knowledge is desirable.
