At Britvic we’re on a journey to become the most dynamic soft drinks company. As one of the UK’s leading players in the FMCG market we pride ourselves on setting high standards, being courageous and pushing ourselves to think outside the bottle.
In the UK we employ over 1,800 people and have 3 factories, 3 office locations and a national distribution centre. Over the last few years, we have installed 10 new production lines, 3 new warehouses, a combined heat and power plant (CHP), as well as providing infrastructure for further expansion.
The role:
As a Technical Operator, you will work to achieve the required quality standards and contribute towards achieving budgeted site performance through the effective control, operation and maintenance of the relevant equipment
As a Technical Operator you will own it as you carry out all duties within the operational area to ensure the required efficiency and performance targets are achieved
You will be responsible for completing first line maintenance, PPM’s and routine diagnostic maintenance including lubrication schedules to maintain plant efficiency
We care about our business so you will be required to conduct quality checks, and complete procedures for reporting the results.
We believe we are stronger together and as a Technical Operator you will ensure that all production is manufactured in accordance with the all Quality, Food Safety and Health and Safety standards as specified in relevant site documentation
You will also be require to operate a forklift truck as required as well as using business control systems, such as SAP, to help effectively control product inventory and track and trace requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- As a Technical Operator you will need to have experience of working in a production environment
- You must have the ability to work unsupervised, taking appropriate action as required is essential
- Effective communication skills are essential
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability and flexibility to work across several production areas
- SAP experience is beneficial
