Position Overview & Specifications
Exciting new role for an Operations manager based at our Immingham Terminal, the nature of the role is to lead the Briggs Marine teams in the safe and efficient operation of the terminal facilities in accordance with the contract, corresponding standards, targets and procedures and to represent the company in matters relating to these facilities and contracts as required.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the Company representative to the clients
- Effectively and efficiently manage Terminal Operations with particular regard to the areas of HSE, Operational, financial and business development
- Operate the terminal teams in accordance with on-site client and Company procedures.
- Identify training needs and assess competency for all onsite personnel in accordance with Industry and site requirements.
- Deploy and direct the area teams in accordance with job requirements.
- Ensure equipment is operated efficiently within safe working limits.
- Ensure the shift system is effectively managed to meet requirements and legislations.
- Develop the area teams as individuals and encourage team performance.
- Ensure that all maintenance as required by schedule is carried out to the defined standard.
- Line management responsibilities
You will have a proven track record working in a similar environment, have effective leadership skills and be confident in your own ability, the successful individual will also ensure that all personnel are trained and assessed as competent to carry out their duties safely and effectively and promote company values and behaviours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £47,890.00-£50,350.00 per year
