Senior Credit Controller

We have an opportunity at our Head Office in Croydon for a Senior Credit Controller ideally with care home experience or similar.

As the Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the reduction aged arrears and managing a comprehensive Credit Control Service. You will be consulting with members of the wider business on various aspects of Clients accounts, notifying the Financial Controller of any accounts issue which may give cause for concern.

Further key responsibilities include;

• Proactively evaluate the sales ledger with a view for across-the-board improvement, specific efficiencies and ways of working.
• Proactively collect debts from customers according to the contractual payment terms through a combination of telephone, email, letters and virtual or in person meetings.
• Resolve complex disputes and key account issues. Gathering of information and paperwork, review of contracts and investigation into discrepancies.
• Reconcile profile payment accounts through new billing and allocation of individual transactions, correctly identifying project codes and raising relevant paperwork.
• Where required work with approved specialist collection agencies or solicitors and ensure pre-action protocols and contact with debtors has been undertaken in compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
• Run regular debt reports for management reports to analyse outstanding debt within portfolio, and populate with detailed information relating to ongoing queries and actions taken to recover outstanding invoices.
• Provision of excellent customer service levels to all customers, including tailored communication to different customer types.

About you

• Strong experience in a credit control role
• Strong experience in using Microsoft excel
• Experience of vendor portals including: TAS Software and ADP
• Excellent time management
• Overall understanding of the finance process
