Are you a whiz in Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro? You might even know your way around Canva and be a whiz on your smartphone to capture content. If you’re looking for a new position where you can be creative, show off your video editing skills and know your way around a camera – this is the role for you!

Books2Door is looking for a proactive, skilled and driven individual to join its marketing team. Video content from end to end (including production and editing) is critical to producing a range of content on a daily basis for our growing independent children’s book company. On one day you could be filming TikToks or Instagram Lives and the next, you could be interviewing the MD of the company. As a new member to the team, you will have the opportunity to impress with your innovative and forward-thinking video skills to set us apart from competitors. We’re keen to see new ideas, what you can do for us and high-quality output.

The videos you produce will go across our website, social media and there will be a key focus on driving compelling, engaging content for video-led channels such as YouTube and TikTok. You will be supported by the wider marketing team however, this is a role that will often require you to work independently to do your thing in our dedicated in-house studio!

Essential experience and qualities:

· Proficient using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Final Cut

· Technical knowledge in production (set-up, angles, lighting etc.)

· Evidence of photography portfolio and video reel

· Experience of lifestyle, corporate and product photography

· Photography (product photography preferred)

· Able to work to short deadlines

· Self-starter, able to generate own ideas and turn them around quickly

· Professional and high-standard of video production

· Eye for Detail

· Versatile in a fast-paced environment

· Familiar with all social media platforms

· Team player

· Innovative-thinker

Ideally, you will also:

· Have an understanding of animation in video production

- Have a keen interest in marketing (including social media channels)

· Able to show initiative when presented with obstructions

· Ideally interested in reading (not critical, but nice to have)

· Willing to learn about our book catalogue and audience

· Some knowledge of After Effects or willing to train with support from the company

· Webcasting experience preferable inc. Instagram Live, Facebook Live etc (optional)

· Active user of TikTok, knowledgeable about trends (optional)
