Position Overview & Specifications

We are looking for a skilled Skilled Software Engineer to support and develop the systems used within the business to aid us through a significant period of growth, The main aim of the role is to develop solutions which will improve processes and optimise results in all areas of the organisation.

Please note: Salary for this role is flexible as we are looking to consider applications from both mid-level developers as well as senior developers and the salary will be competitive.

The Role:

Understand and Specify

  • Learning and fully understanding company data structure, processes and applications.
  • Gathering end user requirements.
  • Producing documentation to define options and solutions to required processes and operations.

Develop and Deliver

  • Developing processes to deliver solutions including application, API and data development.
  • Creating and Maintaining processes and applications.
  • Communicating deployments to key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Supporting in the delivery of Technical Projects to the wider Project team.

Review and Improve

  • Reviewing and validating owned and peer developments.
  • Gaining user feedback to meet end user requirements.

Investigate and Fix

  • Investigating systems and processes to identify improvements and fix issues for customers and end users.

Abilities Required

  • Ability to develop business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong written and oral communication with people at all levels of the business
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Does not flap under pressure, stays calm and resolve issues
  • Self motivated and able to work independently

Knowledge Required

  • Degree level education in a related discipline (E)
  • Skills in JS, HTML and CSS
  • Coding ability in C# .net Core MVC
  • Docker
  • JavaScript, experience with Node.js/NPM, Typescript and Angular
  • Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, JIRA)
  • AWS technologies
  • Database understanding (SQL)
  • A knowledge and overview of web, artwork and production processes

The Package

  • Salary is competitive and will depend on experience
  • Monday - Friday with Flexible working options
  • This is an onsite role 3 days per week - Unit A, Brookfields Park, Manvers Way, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 5DR

The Company

Bluetree Group is the UK's largest online printer and in 2020, became the UK's first manufacturer of Type IIR Surgical masks. They have since continued growing their product range through the development of innovative Transparent masks and other PPE.

Bluetree exists to manufacture and sell high volume, premium products through investing in the latest technology and its highly skilled team. The manufacturer consists of two divisions, Bluetree Print and Bluetree Medical, which are both supported by a Central team.

In 2021, Bluetree Group acquired Doncaster- based luxury printer, Kingsbury Press, branching out into the publishing industry and has aims of expanding into packaging solutions in the future. Our combined office, production and training facilities are located in Wath Upon Deane which is located close to Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster.

Our state-of-the-art 165,000 square foot facility is just a 15-minute drive from either the M1 or A1M and boasts ample free on-site parking. We're also located on a major bus route which is just a few minutes away from the train stations of Mexborough, Swinton and Wombwell.
