Dessert Specialist

18+ only.

We are looking for talented, friendly and enthusiastic team members to join us at Bliss Desserts to offer polite and personal service to our customers. The right candidate should have a confident fun personality, be reliable, have excellent interpersonal skills with customers, be willing to learn and be able to work in a team as well as using your own initiative. Experience is desirable.

The role will include varying shifts, the successful candidates will need to be able to work Thursday to Sunday, including evenings. The position will include prepping dessert mixes, hot drinks and ice cream, serving customers their order of doughnuts, waffles or crepes freshly made to order. Whilst using a friendly, efficient and professional manner whilst showing confident product knowledge and good communication skills. Keeping a high standard of food hygiene along with cleaning of the shop before and after will also be part of the role.

Our dessert specialists are the face of the business. Your role will be to ensure our customers feel how important they are to us and are each treated specially and helped in any way we can. Job responsibilities:

• Be responsible for taking food and drinks orders using the till system
• Making hot drinks and milkshakes
• Responsible for preparing doughnut, waffle and pancake mix prior to opening.
• Responsible for cooking waffles, pancakes and doughnuts upon customer order, including topping the desserts with relevant toppings to give an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
• Maintaining standards of cleanliness in all the kitchen area.
• Have good selling skills – ensuring our customers are made aware of our offers and various flavours to drive an increase in sales.
• Expected to become familiar with aspects of the business, such as having a good product knowledge to communicate what we sell
• Be flexible with your working hours and schedule – dependent on the volume of the business
• Work well as a team player who puts our guests and the business first
• Be smart, well-presented and professional at all times
• Be able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• You will undertake and complete any necessary training that the company provides for you.
• Serve large crowds of customers in a small period of time.
• Clean the store area before and after work hours

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary: £8.00-£10.50 per hour
