Job Description: Waiting staff
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager
Job purpose: To provide an immediately identifiable, approachable welcome and food and beverage service for members and guests.
Outline of key responsibilities:
· Greet and escort members and guests to their tables.
· Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).
· Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses or as directed by the FOH Manager.
· Inform members and guests about the day’s specials.
· Offer menu recommendations upon request.
· Up-sell additional products when appropriate.
· Take accurate food and drinks orders, using order slips or by memorisation
· Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
· Place order through the Tevalis POS.
· Serve food and drink orders with care and grace.
· Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
· Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
· Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
· Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning.
· Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties).
· Follow all relevant health department regulations.
· Provide excellent customer service to guests.
General responsibilities:
· To undertake any additional duties as reasonably directed by Management.
· To adhere to company practices and procedures always in particular those relating to discipline, and Health and Safety.
· To assist any guests who may have special needs in moving around the building.
· To promptly report any customer complaints to the Manager on duty.
· To ensure good communication with all colleagues and supervisors.
· To handle lost property.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-48 per week
Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour
