Production Planner

Bernard Matthews are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team. The Production Planner will work closely with the Head of Planning to ensure that production goals are met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This person will be responsible for ensuring that production orders are filled accurately and on time whilst providing 100% service level to our customers.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure production orders are filled accurately and on time
• Ensure all production orders are in place and on time
• Maintain production run rates within all system and planning models
• Communicate with Plant Manager and Sales team daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
• Liaising with the Demand Planning Manager, and Account Managers if necessary, regarding forecast variances. Highlighting any issues due to variances and changes to demand plans
• Communicate with Production Manager about production order status and status of delivery
• Schedule production orders with vendors based on delivery dates
• Track orders through the vendor system
• Raising and maintaining production schedules
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure that production goals are met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager or Sales Team

Required Skills:

• Must have experience working within FMCG environment
• Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment within multiple priorities and deadlines
• Must adapt to change with a positive attitude
• Organised and detail orientated
• Excellent IT skills especially Excel
• Ability to confront issues, opportunities and others with logic within all levels of the business with an ability to problem solve
• Experience of project managing and project management systems advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
