Yard/Dispatch Operative

Our Client, a successful processor of ethically sourced quality Scottish seafood and smoked salmon products based in Cairndow, near Dunoon, has several opportunities available for both Yard and Dispatch operative to join their team and work on a full time basis.

As a Yard Operative or Dispatch Operative you will benefit from:

• A competitive rate of £10.72 per hour
• Opportunity for overtime which is paid at 1.5x standard rate
• Steady hours set between Monday to Thursday 07.45 to 16.45 and an early finish of 13.45 on Friday afternoons, with 30 mins paid break.
• A full-time agency contract which will become permanent providing standards are met

As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a variety of equipment, loading and unloading trailers, goods in and goods out and quality checks throughout.

As a Dispatch Operative you will be picking, packing and sealing customer orders, including smoked/fresh fish, shellfish and meats. These will then need wrapped and sent to the dispatch chill ready for delivery

• A degree of physical capability as this role will involve manual handling and working within a chilled environment
