About The Role
We are a boutique marketing agency with a varied client base including projects for Sony Music, PIAS, Warner Music, BMG, CD Baby, Universal Music, The Other Songs, AWAL, Various Artists MGMT and more.
As a company, Different Sauce is uniquely positioned in the marketplace, due to our achievement-based payment structure. This allows us to work with clients in a cost vs results basis, ensuring we have long-standing relationships with our label and artist partners. The successful candidate will help with all aspects of the company as Different Sauce is a new company and a small team, meaning an ideal place to learn all aspects of the music industry. As well as day-to-day assistance, key roles will be business development, social media, writing press releases and articles, developing new relationships and in time, running full press, influencer marketing, and playlist campaigns.
We are looking for somebody to improve our small team, with the intention of taking a senior position in the future. The role will require you to come to the office, as well as working from home – preferences can be discussed
Candidate Profile:
- Passionate about Indie, Pop, Alternative & Rock music with a desire to progress within digital marketing in the music industry
- Keen to attend gigs, photoshoots, video shoots & build relationships with colleagues and our artists
Skill Required:
- A passion for new music across a variety of genres
- A strong understanding of music discovery mediums: DSP’S / Tik Tok / Twitch / Radio / Press / Social Media
- Experience working with artists and handling artist content
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal
- Profound understanding of the English language (written and verbal)
- Proficient at using Microsoft office programs WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK as well as Google Drive
- Good understanding of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, Youtube, Instagram)
- Creative writing experience
- Creative and the ability to use initiative and meet own deadlines
- High level of attention to details
- Excellent research and Internet skills
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- The position is based in East London, travel may be required and office attendance is expected
- Flexibility – will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Proficient in Photoshop / Premiere Pro
- Expert skills in new & developing social media platforms (twitch / Discord / TikTok etc)
- Experience working with influencers
- Content creation experience
- Songwriting or Music production knowledge
- Skills with digital advertising (FB ads Manager // Google Ads etc)
Training to be Provided:
- In-house mentoring
- Level 3 Marketing Assistant
Things to consider:
The apprenticeship programme and employment are inclusive of each other. You will need to demonstrate excellent levels of commitment to both the training and job role.
You will work at Different Sauce 80% of the time, and study in further education 20% of the time.
The role will require you to come to the office, as well as working from home – preferences can be discussed
