Commercial Contracts Paralegal (Remote)
Full time, UK

BCD Travel is looking to immediately hire an experienced paralegal meeting the below specifications. The primary emphasis for this position will be supporting BCD Travel’s Legal Department with reviewing, drafting, and processing commercial contracts. The individual will be a member of BCD Travel’s Legal Department with day-to-day activities supervised under the direction of senior lawyers. The position can be virtual, or office based depending on location.


As a Commercial Contracts Paralegal, you will

  • Assist in-house attorneys in reviewing, drafting, and processing a wide variety of commercial contracts for our sales, program management, and supplier relations departments.
  • Work with internal and external BCD Travel clients, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Respond to requests for proposal and provide general legal support to the sales, bid and program management teams.
  • Process and organize contract records in the company contract dashboard.
  • Manage intake of customer contract requests.
  • Assist the legal team in providing accurate, relevant, and timely legal and business advice to internal teams including sales, program management, procurement, finance, supplier relations, operations and HR.
  • Maintain and update template agreements.
  • Assist the legal team in advising internal clients of potential legal risks and recommending strategy to manage and minimize risks from a legal point of view in close cooperation with the internal client.

About you

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a law firm and/or in-house law department.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must be a self-starter, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have a customer-service oriented approach to practicing law with an eye towards practical application.
  • Must be detail-oriented and a skilled draftsperson and negotiator.
  • Ability to interact directly with the company's senior leadership, proposing practical and creative solutions to complex business issues and providing pragmatic risk assessments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, organizations and with a diverse group of colleagues at all levels.
  • Must have a good sense of humor and be a team-player who will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and collegial atmosphere.
  • Experience in travel industry preferred, but not essential.

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Commercial Contracts Paralegal is between $60 000 and $70 000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
