Warehouse/Saw Operative

All About the Role

Based at our Lilleshall Steel Services Site in Gloucester we have a new opening for a Warehouse/Saw Operative. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment.

The shifts hours are Monday to Friday 05:30am to 14:30pm then Monday to Thursday 12.00pm to 20.30pm with Fridays 11.30am to 19.30pm

Specific tasks could include:

• Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
• Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
• Operate saws and handle steel
• Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks and cranes.
• Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
• Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements

Essential Skills for the role:

• The successful candidate will have experience as a Warehouse Operative ideally with both bandsaw and crane experience.
• Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
• Fork-Lift and Side-loader is desirable but not essential.
• Health & Safety awareness.
• Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
• Health & Safety awareness.
