Salary: £35,500 - £36,844 + £3,167 night shift allowance (depending on experience)

Our Meals site in Boston (Old Leake) is looking to recruit a Section Manager to manage a section of the factory, reporting into the Factory Manager and working closely with the Production Manager. The site employs over 700 people and specialises in making chilled Italian ready meals and modern deli products for a dedicated customer.

The Role

As Section Manager you will plan, organise and measure labour and material requirements within their area to ensure that both short and long-term agreed targets are met. You’ll ensure the workforce is well informed on relevant business news and to encourage effective cross-functional links.

In this busy, exciting and hands on role, you will pro-actively manage health and safety to ensure a safe working environment as well as maintaining standards of your area through Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). You will lead and manage the performance of your team and will be tasked to actively coach, develop and train team members to encourage continuous improvement within the business.

About You

You will a driven and proactive individual, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will have line management of over 50 operatives therefore previous supervisory experience in a production of section management role will be required. You may also be expected to cover for Production Manager absence (up to 100 operatives).
