Position Overview & Specifications

About the role

We're looking for a Paid Social Media and Marketing Strategist to work with our Participant Recruitment team. Help support the growth of our database and assist with just-in-time outreach. Reporting to our Head of Behavioural Research, the Strategist is responsible for building the database via digital marketing activities; finding niche profiles to facilitate user research for our internal research team and external clients.

The Strategist will need to be passionate about the latest marketing trends and channels, and bring innovative, fresh ideas on how to find and engage the right people for each specific project.

Your day-to-day...

  • Working with the Participant Recruitment team and our Account Manager/Account Director to build successful paid social ads for a wide range of projects (Facebook, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Understand the client’s needs and create targeted campaigns for niche/hard-to-reach audiences.
  • Optimise the ads and eliminate ad fatigue (using analytics and best practice).
  • Manage the campaigns and provide analysis and reporting.
  • Design creative collateral for ads using branded templates (in Canva, InDesign or other software).
  • Work to tight deadlines to deliver quick turnarounds on ads and amendments if they are underperforming.
  • Attend client calls.

Responsibilities

We're looking for someone who can...

  • Manage and optimise marketing campaigns to derive the best outcomes on a budget.
  • Work independently to analyse and report on campaigns in Google Analytics.
  • Build social media ads from scratch from our branding templates.
  • Update social media and public-facing website with new projects participants can apply for.
  • Track how ads are performing and make quick changes as needed.
  • Think creatively about digital marketing campaigns and try new things.

Requirements

  • Has knowledge and experience in lead generation performance marketing (social media, search, PPC, display).
  • Has experience using Google Analytics to optimise digital ad performance.
  • Has experience building creative collateral in software such as Canva and can do this independently.
  • Is a confident communicator.
  • Is calm and able to keep a positive attitude working on multiple projects at a time (working to deadlines during busy periods).

It would also be beneficial, but not essential to have…

  • Experience and confidence working in HTML to update a website.
  • Experience creating print marketing campaigns as well as digital.
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) skills and experience.
  • Coaching exposure, with the ability to coach others on digital marketing skills.
  • Worked in either a recruitment or research sector organisation.
  • Experience using Hubspot.

  • Attractive base salary
  • 25 days holiday + public holidays
  • Company pension and life assurance scheme

  • Complimentary fruit, coffee, tea, and Friday drinks at the office
  • Wellbeing events/services in Leeds office
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Season pass loan for rail & bus travel
  • A business focused on professional development and personal growth opportunities
  • Smart, engaged co-workers and a culture of inclusion, innovation, and opportunity
