Logistics Manager - temp to perm

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator on a 15-month fixed term contract to provide a range of administrative assistance to the Operations team and to contribute to the achievement of the business-wide objectives.

Duties:

Co-ordinate drivers by planning routes using company systems to ensure effective and efficient utilisation of our vehicles & ensure that the associated systems and paperwork are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Liaise with external and internal customers to effectively manage fleet and resources, ensuring seamless delivery to and from our stores, communicating with external suppliers as appropriate.

Audit environmental compliance of approved tipping and quarry sites

Ensure compliance with Vehicle and Operating Services Agency (VOSA) requirements through weekly monitoring .

Undertake a range of other duties, ad-hoc work and projects as requested by the Performance Manager, Operations Controller and Logistics Support Officer.

You’ll need to have:

Excellent organisation and administration skills.

Excellent customer service skills

A good standard of Microsoft Office skills and other standard desktop packages, in particular Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level is preferrable)

Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures

A positive attitude and the ability to operate individually and as part of a team

Ability to adapt to unexpected and varied circumstances

The following is also desirable but not essential:

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

Valid Driving Licence
