The company has led the convenience food retail market for years, with a long-standing presence in both the UK and throughout Europe. The business is dedicated to innovation and is strategically placed in multiple UK locations to effectively service and delight its customers.

About the Buyers job

As a Buyer you will develop, implement, and review a category plan that leverages the company’s scale and efficiency with suppliers to reduce cost of goods, optimise terms and improve profitability, whilst maintaining security of supply.

Key tasks

· Negotiating on a national basis and delivering national income budget.

· Ensuring supply base is robust and work with suppliers to resolve issues.

· Recognising opportunities to increase promotional investment.

· Identifying potential seasonal product opportunities in own category.

· Take accountability of negotiation of cost price increases and ensuring timelines are optimal.

About You

We are recruiting 3 Buyers and so you should have experience within at least one of the following - soft drinks, bakery, fresh and frozen prepared food or snacking.

You will also have a good level of education including maths and English, and a degree would be ideal. In addition, you will need:

· Experience of analysing and interpreting data.

· Experience of working for a recognised brand with at least 2-3 years of successful negotiation experience.

· Have experience of successfully working with multiple stakeholders.

· Experience of adapting to a changing environment and adapting to changing priorities.

· Competence in Excel and other technology including Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

The Buyers jobs are based in London and paying £45,000 to £47,000 according to your experience.
