Band 6 - Forensic Social Worker - Bristol

This is an exciting time in the social work team as we develop new ways of working within the team as well as the service. Therefore it would be an opportune time for you to join us if you have the required experience and knowledge. It is a fascinating area of Mental Health where social workers are able to make a real difference to the lives of service users.

A development, very much welcomed by Social Workers, Service Users and carers, means working alongside service users as they progress through the service. This is helpful in building positive relationships and in working in partnership with local services across the region; including the co-located Specialist Community Forensic Team, another recent development.

Fromeside is a modern and well equipped 81 bed Medium Secure Unit. This post would enable you to use your social work skills to make a significant difference to the lives of service users. The social work team, based within the unit, is committed to meet the needs of service users detained here under the Mental Health Act and do what they can to improve their experience.

The social workers are respected and greatly valued within this service. You would be a member of a supportive social work team, while working in the service with the service users in the multi-disciplinary teams.

A social work qualification is essential as is registration with Social Work England.
