Position Overview & Specifications

Studio Assistant

Salary: £19,822 - £21,131 per annum

This is a permanent opportunity to work as a Studio Assistant for a leading architectural firm in Bristol. The role of Studio Assistant will see the successful candidate assisting the Practice Operations team with reception duties and facilities operations.

Studio Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Working alongside part time receptionist to be the first point of contact to all visitors, offering a personal greeting and assistance as required
  • Communicate with teams and visitors alike, keeping them up-to-date with any last minute changes to meetings/visitors
  • Assist with the security of the office and ensuring all visitors sign in
  • Purchase items on behalf of the team/studio, in line with financial procedures
  • Take pride in the appearance of the reception, studio area, and meeting rooms, ensuring they are clear, clean and tidy at all times
  • Other administrative tasks as requested e.g. booking travel, couriers etc.
  • Manage meeting rooms, ensuring that meetings happen in the correct room, and any overrunning meetings or issues are dealt with swiftly, in liaison with the Team Coordinators
  • Prepare all refreshments for all meetings, ordering breakfast/lunch as necessary
  • Assisting the Studio Coordinator with H&S duties
  • Carry out work experience inductions
  • Carry out minor repairs

Studio Assistant Essentials:
  • Educated to A Level standard
  • Minimum of two years in a similar role
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Strong team player, with a readiness to ‘muck in’
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Well-presented and professional
