What you would do as our Procurement Director UK&I

We are looking for someone who can leverage the UKI spend by consolidating supply base and aggregating volumes with the rest of the EMEIA Group via effective category management.

Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, you would:

  • strategically optimise and manage the sourcing of all goods and services
  • be a critical business partner with the business units in supporting their strategies and product road maps
  • develop a clear purchasing strategy aligned with business units and ensure that plans are cascaded throughout the purchasing and business unit teams
  • ensure that savings and KPI’s are measured, reported, and tracked throughout the business
  • deliver Indirect savings and service improvements
  • ensure that newly acquired businesses are leveraged to ensure best outcomes
  • understand supply chain risks and take steps to prevent supply disruption
  • ensure that we have a proficient and high calibre team in procurement, inbound factored logistics, VA/VE and supplier development
  • develop, utilise, and deploy advanced negotiation techniques within the business (should cost analysis, cost break down analysis etc.)
  • work with Product Development, Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Finance departments to ensure continuous improvement of processes
  • ensure that supply lead times are reduced, and service levels increased
  • negotiate and maintain supply agreements with nominated suppliers
  • negotiate contracts for the company

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a consolidated and proven experience in manufacturing, automotive or aerospace industries
  • is CIPS or equivalent qualified
  • is an inspiring leader and excellent communicator, who will be able to successfully drive procurement
