Position Overview & Specifications
This role is aligned to the Sustainable Sourcing, Procurement & Quality Profession, where you and other advocates develop your skills and methodologies, share knowledge and best practice and build solutions to business problems. To be successful you should have an interest in packaging and the garment retail industry, however no past employment experience in these areas is necessary. Sustainability is key to our day to day projects and you can help make a difference to the packaging that is designed and bought for our George products. Attention to detail is key, motivation and ability to multitask across different products and categories. This role will give exposure to all departments within the buying, trading and supply departments. The role is fast paced and requires our advocate to be both efficient, organised and agile in managing changing priorities whilst delivering great support to our teams.
Key Elements of the role
- Support in developing packaging in line with George Brand, ensuring we have considered cost and challenged ways of working
- Support departmental day to day queries and ensuring that product is fit for purpose.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of Key packaging materials
- Pro- active approach to supporting trading teams
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement - internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting in brand management in line with the George vision
- Supporting sustainability agenda and reduction in plastics
- Maintaining packaging website.
- Respond to and support with internal/external queries in a timely manner.
- Managing and supporting re-work and re design of packaging.
- Supporting ensuring packaging is compliant for nominated packaging.
