Air and Sea Freight Operator

At Asap Cargo we specialise in freight logistics and have offices in the UK and Ireland working with industrial, retail, and corporate clients nationwide delivering bespoke international freight management solutions.

Our service is built on global experience and hands-on execution, from collection, storage, delivery, warehousing and onward distribution. We are looking for an experienced Sea & Air operator based in our Middlewich premises.

In house training will be provided however the ideal candidate should have at least 2 years previous experience working within a Sea and Air freight department to include the following.

· Building strong relationships with clients and suppliers by phone/email

· Coordination with shipping lines, airlines& overseas agents

· Preparation of shipping documents (B/L and AWB)

· Sound understanding of international import/export and customs formalities.

Understandably, your communication skills both written and verbal need to be second- to- none.

We will also be looking for an applicant that can demonstrate a talent for solving problems, effective multi-tasker, attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment where customer service is key.

High level IT skills are essential to this position and we do prefer candidates to have had experience in a similar role and a flexible, adaptable approach to their work.
