Support Instructor

The Arriva North East training school are recruiting for two Fixed Term Contract Support Instructors to join their team working across both the Stockton and Ashington Training Schools. The main purpose of the role will be to assess provisional and full licence holders at assessment days as well as coaching existing Bus Drivers from within on Arriva’s driving standards as part of Driver Development.

Responsibilities

Running the Pre-Employment Assessment days as part of the North East recruitment process

Completing all necessary paperwork and checks as part of the recruitment criteria

Coaching existing PCV drivers and supporting them to drive safer, smoother and more efficiently

Carrying out Driver Quality Monitoring Assessments as and when required across the region

Deliver CPC training to existing drivers as and when required

About you

Has a minimum of 3 years experience of driving a Bus and has a clean driving licence

Experience within a training environment or role

Has exceptional incident; customer service; attendance record covering the last 2 years

Has a strong understanding of the soft skill elements required to be a comprehensive Bus Driver

Is highly professional and confident and demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively delivering a high level customer experience

Possesses an ability to appropriately deliver effective, timely and direct feedback to candidates on assessment

Is people orientated and puts learner experience at the centre of everything they do

Demonstrates a flexible approach to tasks and working hours in line with business needs
