Customer Service Executive

Peterborough Limited who trade as Aragon Direct Services and Vivacity Leisure are recruiting a Customer Service Executive to work as part of the Customer Services team based in Peterborough.

The main purpose of this role is to provide high quality customer service in telephony, electronic, face to face and Reception support and other forms of customer contact to any areas of the Peterborough Limited business.

Main Duties:

• Managing telephone calls from the general public, Councillors, Council Officers, Peterborough Direct and working colleagues in a professional, positive and efficient manner.
• General office and reception duties i.e. filing, shredding, scanning, photocopying, phone calls. Any other general office and reception duties as required.
• Recording and scheduling of jobs.
• Providing information and helping to solve customer issues in an effective and timely manner. Dealing with adhoc issues in the appropriate manner.
• Answering customer enquiries or passing them to the appropriate department for action.
• Arranging services for customers, for example bulky waste, skip hire, clinical collections, brown bin collections and payments etc.
• Taking information from customers and entering it into the appropriate database.
• Processing paperwork before and after work has been carried out by the appropriate teams

Key Skills

• Great communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to manage a pressured workload and meet deadlines.
• Must have the ability to work on an individual basis as well as being a team player.
• Ability to display a calm and non-confrontational approach.
• High skill level in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Have a clear understanding of customer care. Be polite, approachable, confident and positive. It is essential to create a good impression at all times.
• Must work to and understand the underlying principles of Health and Safety, and Equality and Diversity.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
