Position Overview & Specifications

Ticketing & Sales Manager

The Ambassador Theatre Group is an extraordinary success story in the live entertainment industry. Founded in 1992 in the UK, we’ve grown into the world’s number one live-theatre company today. We cover every discipline in the theatre industry, from operating venues to ticketing platforms and producing shows. We are passionate about great shows and our ambition is to help them find the largest possible audiences.

We are currently looking for a Ticketing & Sales Manager who will assist in running the Box Office at our wonderful Ambassadors Theatre. The Ambassadors is a beautifully intimate playhouse which has just re-opened after the first phase of a refurbishment, and has an exciting and diverse schedule of programming. Turning over shows on average every three months, we welcome a fantastic variety of productions, from comedy to world premieres of plays staring A-list casts.

We are currently the home of My Son's a Queer, (But what can you do?) starring Rob Madge, and this will be followed by Vardy V Rooney: The Wagatha Christie Trial in April, and Rose written by Martin Sherman and starring Maureen Lipman in May.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Ticketing & Sales Manager has lead responsibility for the theatre’s ticketing at a venue level – for managing the ticketing system, other members of the Ticketing team and for ensuring that the audience receive the best service that they can. The focus of the role is on selling as many tickets, memberships, packages, and other ancillary products as possible combined with providing the best customer experience. You’ll motivate, train, support and rota other members of the Ticketing team to similarly sell and cross-sell too, working to sales targets and budget projections.

You’ll be a confident user of technology and ticketing systems, and relish the opportunities technology can provide to optimise sales and the customer experience. You’ll develop an excellent relationship with our producers and provide them with a first-class service – whether that is reporting to them in an agreed format or managing their ticket allocations successfully. It’s an exciting and challenging time to join us after our recent renovation to support our re-launch!
