Job Description


A new and exciting opportunity has become available within the Financial Crime Team at AJ Bell for an experienced Fraud Analyst.

Supporting the Financial Crime Manager and wider business in Fraud related matters, the successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the various fraud typologies and current fraud trends impacting financial institutions and consumers. You will also have experience of investigating fraud cases through to resolution.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out investigations in relation to Fraud
  • Transaction Monitoring
  • Take responsibility for reporting cases to the NCA, the FCA and Action Fraud as agreed by the Financial Crime Manager/MLRO
  • Support the wider business with financial crime related queries
  • Liaise with Law Enforcement organisation's in relation to financial crime related requests for information
  • Keep up to date with ongoing fraud trends
  • Work with the Financial Crime Manager to review/ improve and implement Fraud controls
  • Produce financial crime related MI
  • Conduct financial crime training as and when required

About you:

  • Experience in understanding and investigating fraud
  • Experience in working in a fast -paced environment
  • knowledge of financial crime regulation
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Strong prioritisation skills and an ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • An ability to think logically to problem solve and make decisions autonomously
  • Take ownership of specific technical queries/issues through to resolution
  • A team player
