Financial Accountant

We are looking for a talented, inquisitive individual with a positive mindset to join our high performing team as a Financial Accountant.

Reporting to the Statutory Accounts Team Leader, you will play an integral role in supporting all areas of the Statutory Reporting team, including the consolidation and preparation of the Group’s financial statements as a FTSE 250 business. The successful candidate will be newly qualified, or working towards completing their qualification ideally with group reporting exposure within a plc environment.

In your role you will be supporting the preparation of the Group and subsidiary financial statements under IFRS and FRS 101 respectively. You will also support the Statutory Accounts team with month end accounting adjustments and certain company secretarial tasks, including share transactions and dividend work. You will be technically minded, and able to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and communicate well across the team.

Qualification, skills and experience

• ACA/ACCA newly qualified, or working towards qualification with one or two exams left to complete
• Experience of consolidations, financial and statutory reporting within a plc environment preferred
• Previous audit experience preferred
• Good understanding of IFRS frameworks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to summarise information effectively
• Organisation and time management skills with ability to prioritise
• Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft excel
