We are looking for a Technical Specialist for Airframe Retrofit Solutions to join Airbus in Filton, Bristol. You will join the Airframe Integration department and report to the Head of Airframe Integration.

In this role, you would be responsible for ensuring timely and high quality Retrofit Solutions including Service Bulletins (SB) that will allow the customer to modify/upgrade the product. You will have a continuous focus on ensuring airworthiness, safety and customer satisfaction requirements are met and to fulfil contractual operational commitments.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

• Ensure that internal and external Retrofit Solution Engineers have the relevant Engineering knowledge and will conduct regular training in order to upskill

• Support transnational teams working inside or outside the Retrofit Solutions department

• Cover full scope from the first technical analysis prior to Service Bulletin (SB) launch up to SB distribution and then during the working activities for SB in relation to upgrades or to fleet efficiency

• Influence the decision to make or buy Airframes from an engineering perspective and preparation of the SBs

• You would be a key contributor to projects regarding process, methods and tools for the whole Retrofit Solutions department

• Contribute to transformation and innovation projects and to the development of new products

ABOUT YOU

• Strong knowledge of both Serial and Retroft engineering activities for all aircraft programs

• Able to develop and manage all technical issues across Airframe retrofit solutions, covering the structural, hydro-mechanical and electrical engineering elements

• Relevant design delegations on main ATA chapters and able to perform the technical authorisation of the engineering data set

• Have an understanding of the A350 engineering specifics and the associated toolset

• Able to provide off-site/on-site technical assistance to stakeholders when required
