Senior Formulation/Colloid Specialist & Project Lead

On behalf of our client, a world-leading R&D company with state-of-the art facilities and fantastic benefits, we are looking to recruit an experienced and talented formulation and/or colloid scientist with the drive, ambition and creativity to develop new products and new formulation technologies.

This role would suit a person with strong and demonstrable capability in technical project leadership, who has significant years of experience within industry, developing complex liquid formulations, for example in colloid science, chemical physics, polymer chemistry or material science.

Visa sponsorship is supported for this role and there is a degree of flexibility in hybrid working, with an estimated 3-4 days on site.

Essential Requirements:
A strong track record of technical leadership, collaboration and delivery.
A deep understanding of the formulation, fluid or colloid science relevant to the design and characterisation of liquid (and solid) products, gained through academic and/or relevant industrial experience.
Significant experience formulating products for crop protection, additives & lubricants, personal care, consumer products, cosmetics or similar
Hands-on capability in formulation to support complex projects
Experience in developing the scientific capabilities of a team or group.
Self-motivated with a passion for solving problems and an enthusiasm for innovation and product delivery.
An effective team worker, networker and communicator across both technical and commercial functions.
Significant industrial experience and commercial awareness

Responsibilities:
Collaborating internally and externally to identify, invent & develop innovative technologies and generate fundamental scientific understanding
Leading & conducting scientific programmes that deliver new product technologies to the market
Connecting closely with commercial partners to understand and deliver solutions
Increasing internal capabilities through training and mentoring, technical advocacy and innovation.
