Operations Assistant (Climbing Coach)

Active Nation are on the hunt for new Operations Assistant (Climbing Coach) to join our team at our Lincoln Contract (Birchwood Leisure Centre).

So what is a Operations Assistant and why might you be right for the role? Encompassing the operations and presentation of our venues, interacting with our supporters and ensuring they are safe and happy, this role is about contributing to everyone’s wellbeing. A big part of the is to inspire our junior supporters to participate in our new climbing activities. You will need a passion for exercise and physical activity and love working with young people (but also adults too). An interest in climbing would be useful but we’ll teach you the skills of the sport and how to develop young climbers.

Our new “clip & climb” experience gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy climbing and are accessible for children as young as 4 as well as the most experienced rock climber.

Experience of working with children of all ages is essential along with a vibrant, fun and confident personality. We need you to work flexibly but the majority of your working hours will be at the weekend. Active Nation Birchwood is our venue in the south of the City, and includes Gym, Studio, Immersive Cycling Studio, Shapemaster Toning Studio, Costa Café, Climbing facility, Soft play area, party rooms, all weather pitch and outdoor pitches.
