Position Overview & Specifications

A.C. Whyte and Co. Ltd are actively seeking an experienced Customer Liaison Officer to join our Construction team and play a vital role within our growing business. The appointment of this role is pivotal in maintaining our trusted relationship with clients and residents.

The successful candidate for this role will assist with the smooth running of projects through building and maintaining strong relationships with our Customers, Sub Contractors, Client Representatives and colleagues. You will lead on all customer queries and concerns whilst working closely with the Site Manager and Construction Team. It is essential that you are an excellent communicator and have the ability to support vulnerable and or challenging customers. You will be required to enter customer’s homes, collect personal information and liaise with them regularly throughout the programme of works

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings to understand specific requirements of our Client and Customers
  • Communicate effectively between the Site Manager, Construction Team and Customers to ensure the smooth completion of works.
  • Identify customer concerns prior to the commencement of works ensuring these are communicated to the construction team.
  • Prioritise your workload, managing your time effectively to deliver a response to customer concerns in line with KPI’s
  • Resolve customer issues or concerns quickly and effectively delivering our ‘right first time’ commitment.
  • Based on site to effectively liaise with customers and Site Managers
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, sub-contractors and local authorities to resolve customer concerns.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reporting statistics to the Customer Liaison Manager.
  • Maintain up to date records of documentation, which will support the delivery of prompt, accurate and relevant information through written and verbal correspondence.
  • You will be required to enter customer’s homes, collect personal information and liaise with them regularly throughout the programme of works
  • Ensure the timely delivery of competing priorities within deadlines with minimum supervision

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience of engaging with customers, clients and contractors
  • Comfortable to support vulnerable and or challenging customers providing positive outcomes
  • Ability to take ownership of an issue and find solutions to complex challenges
  • Driven individual with strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Meticulous and organised
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload effectively
  • Housing background is preferable
  • Full UK Driving License is essential
