Class 1 HGV Driver

4R Group is a dynamic company that specialises in the recycling of organic and in-organic by-products from industry. Uniquely placed, we provide technical, regulatory & consultancy support to our clients through 4R Environmental Consultants and contract delivery & management via 4R Recycling. A range of farm support services are provided direct to the farming community by 4R Reassurance.

4R Group are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to help us deliver a first-class recycling service to our customers in South Wales and Gloucestershire. The role is to drive a Class 1 HGV tanker, collecting and delivering liquid fertilisers to a wide variety of agricultural locations in the region.

The successful candidate will have experience driving HGV’s and, whilst reporting to our Transport Manager, will be able to work flexibly and independently with support from our operational teams.

Location: South Wales and Gloucestershire

Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, Overnight and Occasional Weekend

Main duties will include:

• Completing daily deliveries in accordance with agreed transport schedules
• Loading and unloading liquid fertilisers, using correct equipment and supervision of activity at all times
• Excellent communication and liaison with field staff, site staff and 4R transport management to ensure smooth running of operations and deliveries.
• Carrying out all duties in a professional manner
• Following safety and operational procedures in accordance with 4R and customer site policies, including health and safety procedures, loading procedures, spill response and emergency procedures
• Smart and professional appearance at all times, including use of appropriate 4R Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
• Completion of all necessary compliance paperwork in a timely manner

Skills and Experience:

• Full Clean UK Class 1 Driving Licence
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a tanker
• Minimum 1 year experience driving Class 1 HGV’s preferred
• Experience in organics recycling transport would be a strong advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable work ethic
