A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the popular seaside town of St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex.
This is a part time role, approximately 20 hours per week with full details regarding hours, shifts and days TBC at the interview stage, and will include a Saturday shift every 4 weeks, there will also be the possibility for overtime to help cover holidays.
As a veterinary receptionist / Animal Care Assistant you have a unique role as the first and last person that our valued clients encounter with their beloved pets. A love for animals with a warm, friendly, and caring approach are essential and the ability to listen and empathise, whilst remaining professional at all times are all key to this role. As Animal Care Assistant you will assist the clinical team (Veterinary Nurses and Surgeons) also, this involves; holding patients, ensuring a good standard of cleanliness throughout the practice, and setting up and preparing equipment.
The ideal candidate:
Prior experience in a veterinary practice or as a medical receptionist with admin skills would be advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided. This is a varied role in a fast-paced environment which requires strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, with experience using word excel and outlook. You must have gained GCSE's (or equivalent) in Maths and English, C or above. You will have excellent communication skills, both in person and by phone. We're seeking an enthusiastic team player who's always striving to go the extra mile to make a difference. A full driving license is preferable.
